Today's Unsurpassed European Shooter is a German

Do you know that the player called as the unsurpassed European player in the NBA is Dirk Nowitzki, who hails from Germany? Dirk, who is prominent for his three-point shooting and rebounding competence came from a family of sportsmen, his father being a former handball player and his mother a former member of the Germany women national team. No wonder, Dirk is one of today's most prominent baller in the world despite tough competition from other first-rate players. Just this season, Dirk and the Mavericks won the sweet NBA Western Conference title after defeating two challengers, the San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns.

Yet, what I totally admire about this man is his impeccable and intense love for Germany and great support for his former team, the German national squad. In the 2005 European Championship, Dirk led his teammates to a second-place finish while winning the elusive MVP catch. Yet, he's tired playing for his NBA team, the Dallas Mavericks, Dirk still managed to prove that he is the unsurpassed European player today. Outside basketball, Dirk is deemed as a very friendly person especially to children, a character which has caused him to be P'unked while eating in a restaurant.
