Rough Playoff for the Germans

Dirk Nowitzki and his teammates in the German national team are facing a huge encounter in the 2006 World Championships being held in Saitama, Japan. Although the team made it to the quarterfinals already, the team still has to thrash a very rough US national team to make it to the top four.

I think Dirk Nowitzki will experience a rough time in this quarterfinal playoff because he's the only NBA player in the German team. However, USA is usually composed of prominent NBA superstars led by Lebron James and striking Dwayne Wade. Yet, the Americans should not be certain or else they may experience the biggest setback in the World Championships.

Regardless of the aftermath of this playoff, I will still have high praises for Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki for his nationalism and endless support to his mother team. Nowitzki is a terrific example of an athlete who will play for his country even if his team is in the peak of preparations for the coming season of the premier basketball in the world.

I wonder what will transpire if the German National Team pull up a conquest against the Americans. Although this is quite unworkable, let us always remember that in basketball anything can transpire.
