She is Helen in the picture show Troy, and has been acting on movies with renowned actors such as Josh Hartnett and Nicolas Cage. Diane Kruger or Diane Heidkrueger in real life was born in Hildesheim, Germany on July 15, 1976, and commenced her calling as a fashion model. But before getting into modeling, the already then lovely Diane was a great dancer in Britain. However, because of a damage she settled to change course and tried modeling in Paris. To start her career in modeling, she played a part in the 'Elite' contest when she was only 15, and in the long run won the 'Look of the Year' in 1992.

Her zest in acting made her decide to alter her family name from Heidkrueger to Kruger for the comfort of English onlookers and for preparation to her next step, moving to Hollywood. In 1992, she made her Hollywood film debut in the show The Piano Player together with actors Christopher Lambert and Dennis Hopper. From then on she has been seen in diverse films such as Michel Vaillant in 2003, Wicker Park with Josh Hartnett in 2004, Troy with Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom, and National Treasure with Nicolas Cage, in which she will return in 2007 for the sequel.
