The Historically Important and Famed Schloss Cecilienhof

For someone like me who is fond of visiting historical landmarks, tourist attractions, and other places of interests, I regard it as a privilege to stay in a hotel that also served as a location for a massive historical event. In all of my stays in many hotels around the world, nothing is quite as "overwhelming" for me as my holiday in Schloss Cecilienhof. I've only been there once, but the experience is something I'm confident I would never forget No, it wasn't because the hotel had dreadful service or bad amenities, but it was because I had stayed in a hostel where the Potsdam Conference was held. Call me silly, but for me, staying in a place where Churchill, Truman, and Stalin have also previously stayed is something I already consider somewhat "humbling."

If you get the chance to holiday at Germany, you should make a reservation with, or at least visit, the famed Schloss Cecilienhof. I'm not telling you this because I found its history amazing, but because the hotel is really one of the most superb in the world. Built in that typical English country style, Schloss Cecilienhof is located in the middle of the beautiful Neuer Garden, a park that is part of UNESCO's World Heritage of Culture. Since it's originally a castle, you will find in here nothing but the most luxuriant furnishings and upmarket decorations. If you're going to ask me, I would positively settle in Schloss Cecilienhof again.
