Delighting In the Effervescence of an English Garden

Though coming from a relatively modern country, I still find it amusing witnessing naked people basking in the sun publicly. But in some countries like Germany, this is not something new; it is plainly a common practice. The fun-loving Germans call this notorious expression Frei Körper Kulture or Free Body Culture (FKK), and generally exercise this custom of bareness in areas such as the Munich English Garden.

But there are more to witness in the English Garden than bare warm bodies, and there are even more to do, I can ensure. Once there, though sort of disturbed, I gamely tried horse riding and football while my fellows had outright fun surfing near Eisbach River. We also sipped some beer in one of the four gorgeous beegardens scattered all over the place. Though only a man-made lake, my fellows and I encountered Kleinhesseloher See by renting a paddle boat. There are three islets in the place, but sightseers are not allowed to disembark on them; it is highly verboten (forbidden).

As the name indicates, the conception of the Munich English Garden is copied from the gardens of England. Early Germans who set off to that country were pleased with the local gardens and decided to bring home the idea of garden simplicity, spaciousness, and tranquility that would give people a moment for life's contemplation and a splendid view of the natural spectacle.
