Costly Shopping In The Rich Germany

The pretty country of Germany is not only noted for its historic scenic views but also for its several shopping destinations. Germany has become among the top destinations for shoppers across Europe, the continent being known for having an extravagant and glamorous lifestyle. There are various places in Germany which offer the quality shopping items ranging from clothes and furniture to accessories.

First, you may go to visit Frankfurt which is popular as the shopping capital of Germany. There are various shops in Frankfurt that sell pretty antiques, lovely furs, elegant crystal wares, and fine optical items. Next to Frankfurt, you may also do your merry shopping at Düsseldorf, the design and fashion base of Germany that features Königsallee boulevard, or popularly know as Kö. This Kö boulevard, among the grandest and largest German avenues, has some of the wonderful haute couture boutiques notable in the fashion industry. But if you want to do your merry shopping right after your arrival, you may do so by going around the remarkable Berlin capital. Although prices may seem hiked than usual, Berlin has more than a thousand shopping boutiques that offer quality clothing brands. There are also various shops in East Berlin offering the most pretty local crafts like those found in Russia and Poland.

The Inviting Carnival of Love

Berlin is just among my favorite locations in Germany, because it is famed to be a place for lovers. When my boyfriend asked me to go with him to Germany for a retreat, I urged that we must go to Berlin. When we got there, Germans were holding the celebrated and recognized Love Parade.

Germans have been bashing the Love Parade for ten years now, and more than a million of people have been joining the festivity. Germans honor the re-unification of Berlin through holding the magnificent Love Parade. My guy and I joined the Parade and took shots of the love floats, which traveled a long boulevard going through the gate Brandenburger Tor. Each float had its own sound system that played thunderous techno beat . Men in G-strings and women in hot pants were jiving on the floats, and the people were just crazy! Moreover, some of the Germans in the Parade were wearing lively and interesting clothes.

The whole revelry lasted for nine hours, and the Germans, as well as the tourists, jived and partied the whole day. We admired the carnival because it was such a blast! We wanted to go back to Berlin next year to join the festivity again, but we have to bring our friends for they love extreme gatherings, too!

Tasty Treat in Germany

The aftermaths of World Wars have created a negative reputation for Germany and its folks. But in reality, Germany could only be the next best place in Europe, where folks are hospitable, monuments are astounding, and the cakes are just one of the best-tasting treats this country has to offer. Believe me when I say that "Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte" is maybe one of the best German desserts I've eaten in years. I learned about it while walking along a stream of snack bars in the city, when I stopped by the window and saw the delicious layers of chocolate with whipped cream, chocolate curls, sour cream, and "Kirsch." "Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte" is also well-known as "Black Forest Cherry Torte," where "torte" signifies cake and "Kirsch" for a cherry brandy. They say that this German specialty originated from Der Schwarzwald or the Black Forest Region during 16th century, when Germans have already thought of baking a nice chocolate confection sprinkled with flavors of cream and cherry. "Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte" may also be inspired from the Black Forest with dark layers of chocolate that tell so much about the mystery and loneliness of the place area, at least according to some historians. There is so much more to this appetizingly delicious and great snack than what meets the eye.

It Was All Becasue Of One Excellent Guesthouse

At first my older sister and I bickered about what German municipality to visit first. It was both our first time at the magnificent area and we would like to have the most out of our two-week vacation. She wanted Bavaria, I wanted Munich. Later we found ourselves journeying to her chosen municipality. She was the primogenital, she had our dough, and there was nothing I can do but follow her lead.

After we reached Bavaria, the first thing we did was to discover a good guesthouse where we could rest since we were both exhausted from the trip. Our chase for the hotel led us to the remarkable town of Bamberg. In Bamberg we discovered the celebrated Barock Hotel am Dam, a home away from habitat. The staff spoke very good English and were very effective in providing us with directions and information on places to appreciate. Our guestroom was commodious and perfectly clean, with wide windows overlooking the cathedral tower. I love the hotel's position for it was placed at the heart of the town. Breakfast was great with our choice of perfectly swirled coffee or tea. But our favored feature of Barock Hotel am Dom was the fridge on the lobby floor where anyone can have their preferred cuppa - a minibar of sorts - anytime of the day, just do not forget to list down what you got.
